Hi Everyone,

My website recently acquired a virus and I'm trying to restore a backup which was made last week. I attempted to restore with softaculous and it's giving a timeout message "Oops ... the connection was lost" at around 95%. I presume it's because the filesize is considerable (7gb.)

Can I take this backup and restore the website using cpanel backup wizard or the file manager? I'd like to restore the entire website (home directory and databases,) does anyone know if this is possible and the steps required?

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Hi,

It could be possible that PHP is running out of memory while restoring your installation. Can you please try to increase the  memory_limit of your cPanel's 3rd party PHP binary and see if you still face the issue ?

If you are still facing the issue please open a support ticket with us and we will check it for you :
