Error: Could not read the config file., Drupal site clone error. (5 Replies, Read 14704 times)

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 2 Status:	I am trying to create a development copy of my website but I'm encountering an error within softaculous. When I attempt to clone the Drupal directory I receive the error "Could not read the config file." I have changed the permissions for drupals settings.php(located in Sites/Default/) to 777 but the error still occurs. I'm guessing that I'm changing the permissions on the wrong file? What Config file is Softaculous referring to? And more importantly how can I fix this?

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 2 Status:	Apologies if there is an edit button for my original post but I can't seem to find it. More info: The error seems to occur around the 95% mark of the cloning process. The databases and users seem to be created and populated without a problem. However this elusive config file seems to be breaking the migration.

Group: Softaculous Team Post Group: Super Member Posts: 5647 Status:	Hi, Drupal Clone reads the following config file : sites/default/settings.php so changing the permission for this file should resolve the issue. Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 1 Status:	Same problem here. Could not read the config file to get the dbprefix. When i try to make a clone. At 95% i get the message Could not read the config file to get the dbprefix. I set de permission from settings.php on 777
