Softaculous doesn't register with 11.40 Appconfig (5 Replies, Read 3905 times)

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 2 Status:	Getting an error on default 11.40: Quote HTTP error 401 cgi/addon_softaculous.cgi WHM is configured to disallow execution of unregistered applications when logged in as root or a reseller with the "all" ACL. To enable this functionality you must do one of the following: Register this addon using /usr/local/cpanel/bin/register_appconfig (http://docs.cpanel.net/twiki/bin/view/SoftwareDevelopmentKit/AppConfig), Enable the "Allow apps that have not registered with AppConfig to be run when logged in as root or a reseller with the "all" ACL in WHM" option in "Tweak Settings", or add permit_unregistered_apps_as_root=1 to /var/cpanel/cpanel.config, and run /usr/local/cpanel/etc/init/startcpsrvd Searching in /var/cpanel/apps I don't see any .conf like softaculous.com I can add permit_unregistered_apps_as_root=1 but shouldn't be better create one config in /var/cpanel/apps to avoid this ?

We are checking this issue and will let you know why Softaculous was not registered in Appconfig. Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 2 Status:	It was a fresh install yesterday on a fresh 11.40 cPanel. So Appconfig was turned on by default. And softaculous installation followed a few hours later. Anywhere else already installed using previous versions of cPanel it works like a charm. Just mentioning
