I'm running Concrete5 (5.6.x) CMS to develop packages for it. Everything was going pretty great until I hit some issues with almost anything that's tapping into an API type connection. For example, a simple Twitter feed, it works on my live server but not locally. Concrete5 also uses TinyMCE for their WYSIWYG editor and that doesn't work for me either. I can only assume that something is not allowing a connection to whatever API resources these things are calling on because I'm working locally? I'm not even sure this is a AMPPS issue purely. I've looked at the error logs though and I'm not seeing anything that suggests a failing connection.

I literally installed AMPPS and installed Concrete5 and got to work. I've left all the settings vanilla. I bumped into an article on the Wiki (How To Use Scripts on Local Network) and thought it would apply to my scenario but I'm getting hosts file issue, I have to modify it manually and before I go chasing that around I'm not even sure it would help my scenario. Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing?

Thanks for suggestions

Hi,

We do check the basic functionalities of the script before launching the new update. If you can send us the steps to re-create the above issue at our end, we shall test the same at our end and try to resolve the issue.

You can also open a ticket here, with the above details and our developers shall look into the issue for you:

Well It's odd, not long after I posted this, my laptop actually died, power supply issue.

I bought another laptop, Lenovo W541. I went about reinstalling all my software, among those, AMPPS again.

I'm not experiencing that particular problem anymore. I am having some other bizarre issues but they don't fit into this thread anymore.

I'll just respond with more details as requested if anyone else runs into this issue.

The TinyMCE WYSIWYG is used all over the place in Concrete5 5.6. When using it as their regular "content block" within the CMS I was having no problems. Where it was having issues was when I attempted to pull in the TinyMCE to a custom block edit interface. The error seemed to suggest it was having a hard time finding the helper that renders the TinyMCE tools, you know, the bold, italic, underline, ul, ol, justify, so on. The path it was referencing in the error saying it couldn't find it, was actually correct but I wonder if some kind of permissions issue was preventing it access? I was running AMPPS in administrator mode (windows 10).
