Windows 7 platform.

I have been using XAMPP for a few weeks, with no problem, and decided to also try AMPPS.

However, after an apparently no-problem installation the app seems to be not working properly. The control center appears but clicking "home" shows nothing more than a list of the files/folders in "localhost", and "ampps home" and "ampps admin" result in "object not found". I have re-installed the software 3 times and nothing changes.

I have Skype but it is NOT running at this time. I am NOT using XAMPP and AMPPS at the same time.

ETA: the "localhost" that is being displayed is the XAMPP area. It seems there is a conflict. How to tell the AMPPS Apache (?) that I want it to work in the AMPPS area and stay out of XAMPP. Or is that not possible?

Hi,

Is XAMPP Apache installed/running as a service ?

You will have to remove it from services to make AMPPS apache work.

Thank you Tidus.

Yes, XAMPP is running Apache by default at system start. I have successfully shutdown/restarted Apache on both AMPPS, and XAMPP mulitple times and all seems fine on both sides.

Again, many thanks.
