WHM 62.0.8 & cpanel, can't install Wordpress 4.7.2 (7 Replies, Read 2847 times)

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 4 Status:	I am running WHM/cpanel 62.0 build 8. Underlying system CentOS, Cloud Linux, Kernel Care, etc. I just activated ionCube in Tweaks so I could install Softalucous - no problem there, it added 432 scripts. I'm trying to install Wordpress 4.7.2 and installation stalls here: The following errors were found: The MySQL Connection could not be established The MySQL Connection could not be established Google showed me that cpanel username length might be an issue, so I set it to 'soft2', well under the sixteen character limit. I don't see where I'd tell Softaculous a username/password. Don't think it's IP related, there are a couple of Wordpress installs on the system, they have no trouble reaching the MySQL port.

This is due to a bug in cPanel API (to detect PHP version for the domain using MultiPHP) on versions running WHM 11.62.0.x We have disabled PHP version detection in EasyApache4 MultiPHP Manager and we are launching Softaculous 4.8.8 by today with a workaround so you should not face this issue. ----------------------- Webuzo - Multi User Hosting Control Panel AMPPS - Best WordPress/PHP/MySQL development tool

We execute a command (httpd -t -D DUMP_MODULES) in cron.php to determine if rewrite_module.
