I suspect this will be a really obvious answer I hadn't thought of, but when I install Mod Security 2.9.1 (with comodo rules) and mod_cloudflare by RPM (or compile from source) - I can load the modules as expected, and apachectl -M does indeed indicate that the modules ARE loaded into the process. However, they don't seem to actually behave as if they're "active". I have the required conf files setup in conf.d and modules.conf.d (first to load the module & then to enable/set base settings, all copied from the server that the modules work on) but Apache doesn't replace the incoming IP with the CF-CONNECTED-IP value, and a simulated attack on the website which is blocked by mod_security on my other server is completely ignored & not logged on the Webuzo servers.

Is there a middle step I may have missed which might impact module loading? When I follow the same steps on a non-Webuzo server (no control panel), things seem to work fine.

Thank you!

Hi Tychis,

We are in the process of releasing a version of Apache 2.2 and 2.4 which will support the above-mentioned modules natively.

That is amazing news - thanks for your reply. I look forward to the release - I'm in the process of moving all my websites from a centralized cPanel server to a chain of Webuzo-powered cloud servers and this is the last piece of the puzzle!  :xd:
