Quote From : MediaFortress January 6, 2017, 1:59 am Hello, is it possible to change the default directory for wordpress installs to root instead of /wp?
It seems a lot of users do not read this or understand it which creates problems for them down the track having to move the website.
Hi,
You can find this setting under Softaculous Admin Panel > General Settings > End User Panel Settings > "Don't Prefill Directory Name" select the checkbox and clock on "Edit Settings" button.
This will set the default suggestion of the "Installation Directory" field to be blank which will install the script in root. However this is the suggestion and the user can fill in the directory if they really want to install it in a sub-directory.
Let us know if you need any further information
