Hi,

It would be useful if Softaculous randomized the minute
setting for any automated cron jobs it adds when installing
applications.

The problem right now is that I have a server with
a hundred or so Moodle installations and they are set to run on the 8th
minute of every hour (I am not 100% sure this is automated by
Softaculous but I am guessing it is). This is obviously problematc
because the server gets overloaded on the 8th minute of every hour. If
the minute value was randomized to a value ranging from 0 to 59 this
issue could be avoided.

I think it would be useful if this
approach were applied for any hourly cron jobs created automatically.
For daily cron jobs, Softaculous can even take it a step further and add
a setting for user-defined "low-peak" which would limit the times
during which daily/weekly/monthly crons can be programmed.

Hi,

Sir Softaculous does randomize the CRON timing for all the installations. But it seems that you have copied the universal.php to replicate your settings on your servers. Softaculous saves the CRON time in this file.
You can change the CRON time from the Softaculous Admin panel -> Settings set the desired time in the "Updates Cron Job" field.

This will change the CRON time of your server.
