Anyone else having issues with 3.6 Ampps on their Mac?

I've beeing using 3.0 for about a year and it has never given me a problem.  I've decided to update to 3.6 but wish I had not.  Switched the PHP version and really struggling to get it started.  Sometimes if I reboot the MAC I can get Apache to start on Ampps, but at the moment no matter what I do I can not get Apache to start.  No errors appear on screen.  Where can I look for clues?

If I can get it started I will grab my SQL data and files and downgrade to 3.0

I got it restarted.  I reverted to the default config.  I've now exported by files and data and will revert to an earlier version.

Oddly, I had not changed any config in Apache - merely switched PHP version.  I'll revisit 3.6 (or later) another time.
