Hello,

My Centos 7 is not creating the /var/webuzo/my.conf file. Could you provide me with all the essential contents of this file that is needed for phpmyadmin and mysql to work properly. Any details would be very much appreciated.

The file /var/webuzo/my.conf contains randomly generated phpMyAdmin login password. This file is required by Webuzo to access your database and create / access database of the installations done using Webuzo.

Since it contains only the randomly generated password, the file needs to be created on MySQL installation via Webuzo.

Hence, we request you to please open a ticket with us here, so that we can debug this issue further for you:

I made the file and stored it in /var/webuzo, but I still could not log in. I decided to install the lamp stack after installation of Webuzi. So I created a new server and did so, but phpmyadmin is still producing an error of failing login (Cannot log in to the MySQL server). I see mysql in services and am able to restart it from there. Please give me the next step.

Hi,

Sir as I said earlier that /var/webuzo/my.conf contains randomly generated password for the login into phpMyAdmin.

Hence it cannot be created. We request you to open a ticket here, so that we can check why is Webuzo not able to create /var/webuzo/my.conf on your server:

if webuzo is installed from lcoal server centos 7 , it will not create my.conf
please test it on 'local' centos 7.
i know it creates all other 'VPS'. not manually installed from USB or CD with the newest centos 7.

You will have to login to MySQL Safe mode and reset the root password for the MySQL server.

Further more, create the file /var/webuzo/my.conf and add the password to the same, so that you can go about creating dbs/users from the Webuzo Enduser Panel
