 import mysql tables from .ibd and .frm files, files saved from dead os (2 Replies, Read 9234 times)

hi there, my windows crashed and i have recovered the .frm and .ibd files from mysql folder. Now i want to regenerate my database using these files, but now i am using amps for mac (osx 10.9.2). Is there a way to do that ?

PS: i have all the windows amps files recovered from the old hdd not just the frm and ibds. thanks

I don't think you can do that. After a quick search it looks like the linking done in the database keeps you from simply copying the files over.

normally you would need to use mysqldump to create backup files inorder to restore it.

Do you have .frm and .ibd ?

Have you tried shifting whole mysql data folder ?
