Anybody else getting Internal server errors working with the new 3.6 release?

Installed Ampps 3.5 two weeks ago and had troubles with it.

I was able to get a WordPress site installed but could not use it. Been back and forth with support with tickets just to get the thing to work and it didn't.

However, they have a new release this week Ampps 3.6. Okay good. Let's just move forward with a new release. I install 3.6.

Once as a migration... and that did not work. The Apache server would not start.

So I dragged the Ampps folder into the trash and did a completely new install.

The Apache server starts now... good.

--> However, simply clicking the home button gets an error.

The home page will not open. It yields an internal server error (screenshot included).
This is really basic functionality.

The dashboard indicates that Apache, Php-5.5 and MySQL are running... and upon clicking the home button... a browser window opens with an error.

What is going on? Is the Ampps stack that unstable?!

Actions to create this error are simple:
- reboot the computer (iMac, Yosemite 10.10.5)
- Open the Ampps 3.6 application.
- Apache, php5.5 and MySQL are running already
- click on the Home button
- a browser window opens with an "Internal server error"

I've lost 4 weeks of development time. All I've done is "attempt" to get the Ampps servers running.

By now, I should have a few websites built and working... but all my time is spent testing ampps installs and waiting for responses from support.

--> Is this typical of the Ampps experience?

I'm not busting anyones chops here or being mean... but I really need to get some work done.

I keep expecting that Ampps will / should work... but it just does not work.

Can someone please help me understand if this is a typical.

I think the product is a good idea... but if it just does not have basic functionality... it simply is not worth spending any time on.

What are other alternatives for a Mac user?

I am familiar with Mamp, Xampp and here with Ampps.
- Mamp.. is not supported
- Xampp... is complicated and limited
- Ampps... is just not working.

Help!!

Are there other suggestions

Hi,

Try this:

Go to option --> Change PHP version --> select PHP 5.3 --> click on apply button.

Now refresh page.
