Hi, i currently have a reseller account with my host provider and would like to use this script, but the thing is i would like not to have to use it in cpanel, but outside of cpanel.

I decided to host accounts because i'm a web developer and as an added service i manage and offer hosting support when they host from my company.

Now the softaculous works just like fantastico so i'm wondering, would it be possible to modify the script so that the installation path be a remote path? where you would enter your username and password to your hosting account?

Example you come to the reseller account webpage, you see a link to install a new cms/forum/blog with softaculous and then enter your domain and cpanel details to install the script to your host account

The remote installs is a completely different story.
It will be for the endusers.

That's great news, so i can have it install on a vps server and it will install on a remote server? e.g reseller account, where as the person can just enter the login details for ftp/webdav

Or

Do i have to have it on the same vps server and installs via a web interface instead of the cpanel intergrated interface to a web directory of a user on the vps?

Sir, you dont need to install AEFER anywhere.
You simply use our Aefer Panel by adding your domain and FTP information :
http://www.aefer.com

Ahh i see, i actually wanted to have it done as a service to my clients on my server. Is there a way persons can custom the remote install page too look as they wish?

Or will it just represent Softaculous on a whole on the page?

If yest then having it on Softaculous wouldn't matter to me.

AT the moment there is no customisation possible.
But soon there will be an API to change it
