{"id":2175,"date":"2019-01-02T08:01:03","date_gmt":"2019-01-02T08:01:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.softaculous.com\/blog\/docs\/cli\/reset-api-pass-cli\/"},"modified":"2025-01-31T12:10:19","modified_gmt":"2025-01-31T12:10:19","slug":"reset-api-pass-cli","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/www.softaculous.com\/blog\/docs\/cli\/reset-api-pass-cli\/","title":{"rendered":"Reset API Pass CLI"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Overview<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Softaculous allows you to reset your API Pass from command line.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"alert alert-info\"><strong>Note&nbsp;<\/strong>: This has been added in Softaculous 4.7.9 Note&nbsp;: This option is available only in Softaculous Remote and Enterprise<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Use the following command to reset your API Pass&nbsp;:<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted bash hljs\">\/usr\/local\/emps\/bin\/php \/usr\/local\/softaculous\/cli.php --reset_apipass --user=USER --api_pass=NEWPASS --owner=OWNER <\/pre>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Thats it. Your API Pass has now been reset.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Parameters<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In the above command the first parameter should be&nbsp;<strong>&#8211;reset_apipass<\/strong>&nbsp;as this parameter will initiate the API Pass reset function.<\/li><li><strong>&#8211;user=USER<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Here&nbsp;<strong>user<\/strong>&nbsp;is the field name and&nbsp;<strong>USER<\/strong>&nbsp;is the value for that field (username of the user you want to reset the API Pass for).<\/li><li><strong>api_pass=NEWPASS<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; This is the NEW API Pass that you want to set.<\/li><li><strong>owner=OWNER<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;<strong>OPTIONAL<\/strong>&nbsp;: This is the owner for the&nbsp;<strong>USER<\/strong>.
