You can stage an installation to test the upgrades or the changes before applying it to the main installation and then you can push the changes to the main installation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"alert alert-info wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>NOTE<\/strong>\u00a0: Stage functionality is available only for a few scripts at the moment. We will be adding it to more scripts soon.\u00a0<br><strong>NOTE<\/strong>\u00a0: Stage has been added in Softaculous 4.2.8\u00a0<br><strong>NOTE<\/strong>\u00a0: If you have your site already installed manually. You will have to import it to Softaculous. Here is the guide\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/softaculous.com\/docs\/How_to_Import_an_Installation\">How_to_Import_an_Installation<\/a><br><strong>NOTE<\/strong>\u00a0: WordPress Multi-Site installation staging is not supported for now.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will be taking an example of a&nbsp;<strong>WordPress<\/strong>&nbsp;installation. We will stage the installation to a sub directory&nbsp;<strong>stage.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1) Login to Panel<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to your panel (e.g. cPanel&#8217;s url will be\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/domain.com:2083\/\">https:\/\/domain.com:2083<\/a>) and login with your details.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There click on the Softaculous Icon or Link.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Softaculous Enduser Panel will be displayed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to all installations page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.softaculous.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/clone_1-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.softaculous.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/clone_1-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4885\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.softaculous.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/clone_1-2.png 1000w, https:\/\/www.softaculous.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/clone_1-2-300x144.png 300w, https:\/\/www.softaculous.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/clone_1-2-768x369.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2) Choose the installation you want to Stage<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click on the\u00a0<span><b>Stage\u00a0<\/b><\/span>icon next to the installation you wish to stage.\u00a0<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.softaculous.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/staging_1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"886\" src=\"https:\/\/www.softaculous.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/staging_1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4887\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.softaculous.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/staging_1.png 1000w, https:\/\/www.softaculous.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/staging_1-300x266.png 300w, https:\/\/www.softaculous.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/staging_1-768x680.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Staging page will appear with the current installation details and a form to fill in the details for the stage installation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3) Fill in the Staging Installation Details<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fill in the staging installation details i.e. Choose domain, Directory, Database name, etc<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the\u00a0<strong>Stage Installation<\/strong>\u00a0button and this should do the trick. The time taken may vary in accordance to size of your installation, So please be patient.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>That&#8217;s it\u00a0!!
