The larger binary size is due to static linking and bundling of additional libraries/tools (like OpenSSL, PCRE, zlib) directly into the binary for portability and compatibility across environments. We’re not doing anything hidden or malicious — just aiming for stability and ease of deployment.

You're welcome to build it yourself from source using our exact parameters if you'd prefer full transparency.

If those two VPSs were only used for PowerDNS and no longer needed, deleting them is fine. Just be sure to update any domains pointing to them first to avoid DNS issues.
