PHP released emergency security updates on October 21, 2026 for PHP2Shell, two critical remote code execution vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619, both CVSS 9.2). The fixed versions are PHP 8.2.35, 8.3.36, 8.4.27 and 8.5.12. Attacks have already been reported in the wild.
My server runs Webuzo, and I haven't seen updated PHP builds in Webuzo yet. I've powered my servers off as a precaution until patched versions are available.
Could you please let us know:
1. When updated PHP builds will be available through Webuzo
2. Whether the PHP that runs the Webuzo panel itself (EMPS) is affected and will be updated
3. Whether the update will install automatically or need a manual step
4. Any recommended interim mitigation for servers that need to come back online before the patch
Thank you.]]>Thu, 22 Oct 2026 02:04:26 GMThttps://www.softaculous.com/board/index.php?tid=22269&tpg=1#p62640

I am using Webuzo 4.8.4 on AlmaLinux 9.8. The latest PHP security updates do not appear to be available through the Webuzo application catalog.
As of 21 October 2026, PHP has released 8.2.35, 8.3.36, 8.4.27 and 8.5.12 with fixes for CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619:
https://www.php.net/archive/2026.php
Could you please confirm:
1. When the patched packages, especially PHP 8.2.35 and 8.3.36, will be available through Webuzo?
2. Whether there is a supported, safe way to refresh the package metadata if updates have already been published?
3. Whether Webuzo provides security backports for PHP 8.1, or recommends migration to a supported branch?
Thank you.]]>Wed, 21 Oct 2026 20:32:22 GMThttps://www.softaculous.com/board/index.php?tid=22268&tpg=1#p62638
