In SitePad, the widgets available in the sidebar depend on:

- the theme you are using, and

- what SitePad itself supports (it’s more limited than WordPress).

You cannot add arbitrary new widgets like in WordPress. The documentation often shows widgets that are:

- theme-specific, or

- available only in certain SitePad versions / templates.

- What you can do:

- Use the existing widgets shown in your panel.

- Add a Custom HTML widget (if available) to embed code (e.g. scripts, iframes, simple embeds).

- Change to a different theme that exposes more sidebar widget areas.

What you cannot do:

- Install plugins to add widgets.

- Create native custom widgets via PHP.

If you want, tell me:

- which SitePad version you’re using

- which theme

Yes, exactly. We can’t add new widgets via plugins or PHP, but we can use a Custom HTML widget (if our theme supports it) or try another theme with more sidebar options.]]>

<![CDATA[WordPress: Incompatibility between SQLite Object Cache and Softaculous Login]]> https://www.softaculous.com/board/index.php?tid=20415&tpg=1#p61452
From what I saw, the object cache was persisting or validating auth/session data a bit too early in the request cycle, so those one-time Softaculous cookies got treated as invalid and wiped. That lines up with WP Cerber reporting “deleted invalid cookies” and the redirect back to the homepage.

What helped on my end was bypassing object caching for auth-related keys and early login actions. In practice, that meant not caching anything during wp-login.php and admin-bypass style logins, or explicitly excluding auth cookies / user session data from the object cache layer.

Another workaround was detecting Softaculous admin logins (they usually pass a specific query param or cookie) and disabling the object cache for that request only. After login, everything worked fine again.

Manual /wp-admin login always worked for me too, which made it clear this was more about how the bypass works than a general auth problem.

Hope that helps narrow it down. It might be worth documenting this edge case too, since shared hosting + Softaculous is still pretty common in 2026...]]>
