Softaculous https://www.softaculous.com/board/index.php? <![CDATA[Wordpress Staging installation fails (and clone too)]]> https://www.softaculous.com/board/index.php?tid=20270&tpg=1#p60361 I’m experiencing a very similar issue with WordPress staging and clone on Softaculous. The staging process starts normally, but it fails during database creation or file copying, and no clear error message is shown. The same happens when I try to clone the site.

The main site works perfectly, and there is enough disk space and inode limit available. File permissions also seem correct. I’m running a fairly standard WordPress setup with several plugins, but even after disabling all plugins, the problem persists.

Could this be related to server-side restrictions, PHP configuration, or MySQL privileges? Has anyone managed to resolve this issue by adjusting specific settings or logs? I would appreciate any guidance on where to look next, especially which logs might give more detailed error information.

Thank you in advance.]]>

Is there any way to add widgets to the sidebar? attached photo shows list of what i have but when i look at the sitepad documentation it shows much more, am i limited to this?

In SitePad, the widgets available in the sidebar depend on:

- the theme you are using, and

- what SitePad itself supports (it’s more limited than WordPress).

You cannot add arbitrary new widgets like in WordPress. The documentation often shows widgets that are:

- theme-specific, or

- available only in certain SitePad versions / templates.

- What you can do:

- Use the existing widgets shown in your panel.

- Add a Custom HTML widget (if available) to embed code (e.g. scripts, iframes, simple embeds).

- Change to a different theme that exposes more sidebar widget areas.

What you cannot do:

- Install plugins to add widgets.

- Create native custom widgets via PHP.

If you want, tell me:

- which SitePad version you’re using

- which theme]]>

... but Softaculous’ auto-login flow depends heavily on very short-lived usermeta and auth-related lookups that normally bypass persistent storage. Even though WordPress doesn’t persist nonces or auth tokens, Softaculous creates (and expects) fresh user session state at the moment the bypass link is clicked. If the object cache is persisting any part of the user’s last session especially get_user_meta(), cached capabilities, or the WP_User object it can cause WP Cerber to treat the Softaculous-issued cookies as “invalid” because the underlying user state doesn’t match what WordPress recomputes during a normal login.

OK, that is helpful. I can try a few things in the plugin.

In shared hosting, this becomes more visible because Softaculous and WordPress aren’t always running under the same PHP worker, so stale cache keys linger longer.

BOOM! If the object cache plugin has the APCu level-2 cache enabled this is certainly going to foul things up.

A possible fix on the plugin side would be to avoid caching usermeta and capability lookups during authentication requests. Checking for wp-login.php, wp-admin, or is_user_logged_in() during the login handshake only might be enough to force fresh reads on those keys without disabling caching globally. Not a perfect solution, but it narrows the issue to where Softaculous’ bypass actually fails.

I'll give this a try.]]>

This is my first time installing Wordpress and web-building so I probably made a mistake but when I click 'Log in' in Wordpress Management in Softaculous I get a white screen that says "File not found". I've searched Google and I've checked certain files like the .login and .admin and the config.

If it helps, when I try to log in using the /wp-admin/ it just shows me my domain registrar. Not quite sure where the issue is.
