The PageLayer Contact Form does not send emails automatically. It depends on the correct configuration of the PageLayer Contact Form settings as well as your website’s email (SMTP) setup.

Please follow the steps below to resolve the issue:

1. Configure the PageLayer Contact Form

Kindly refer to the following documentation to properly configure the contact form:

2. Verify PageLayer Contact Form Settings
  • Go to WordPress Dashboard → PageLayer → Settings
  • Open the Contact Form tab
  • Ensure that the To Email, From Email, and other related fields are correctly filled with valid email addresses
3. Configure WordPress SMTP (Important) Many hosting providers block the default PHP mail function, which can cause contact forms to fail. We strongly recommend installing an SMTP plugin such as GoSMTP. After installing the plugin:
  • Configure SMTP using your email provider (Gmail, Outlook, Zoho, or your hosting email)
  • Send a test email from the SMTP plugin to confirm that emails are working correctly

Once these steps are completed, please test the contact form again.

When you create a staging copy of your live site Softaculous stores the live site details in the Staging site record in Softaculous.

Since you moved the site after creating the staging site Softaculous still has the record of the original live site location.
