Virtualizor needs a few more backup options. Right now, we have to choose between daily and weekly for our backups. We would like an option to do it every other day, or half one day and the other half the next day.

Currently the backup system only has one feature that SolusVM does not have, and that is SSH backups. Adding these features would entice more people to switch to Virtualizor.

I'm adding my voice here.

Hoping to see a backup scheduling system, it's very easy to implement and can provide added revenues for hosting companies. Allow us to assign a number of "backups" per client and let them schedule their backups. We can set those up on the plan, if it includes backups or as a configurable option in WHMCS to allow clients to purchase a number of backups.

Under the backup scheduling option clients would see:

Purchased Backups: 5

Daily backups
[] Mon  []Tue [x] Wed [] Thu [] Fri [] Sat [x] Sun

Number of daily backups to retain: __4___

Monthly backups
[x] 1st of month  [] 15th of month

Number of monthly backups to retain: __ 1___

Clients would get an error if they go over their number of retained backups.

agree, the current backup system is to basic and needs to be more flexible.

additional idea:

choose backup server at client or vps level.

the backup system in virtualizor is basic as the basic. and the request now has years without any progress .

we need option to make multiple backup jibs as all the other soft do, 1 type of backup is not enough . a simple case

daily backup --- on local dirve
Weekly backup --- on Ftp 1
Weekly backup --- on Ftp server 3
monthly backup --- on ssh access + ftp 2

something like this, multiple backup for multiple destination .

Hi,

Sir we have made the changes in backup and enduser backups are coming in 2.9.3.
And Endusers will be able to add their backup servers, but that feature will be there after 2.9.3

Let us know for further information.

Hi,

Sir we are working on it but we are finding a way for consistence solustion.
If anything goes wronf in live backup for file base VPS, whole VPS data might get corrupt.

Simple solution is to poweroff and make copy of the file but in that way there will be a downtime which we do not want for the users.

Let us know for further information.

Hi,

thank you, that answers one of my questions.

I assume Virtualizor can create backups for qcow2?

I still insist for multiple backup jobs. One backup job is not enough .

Can the team make a look at proxmox, they have a great backup jobs system .
