+1 for this feature.

Would also be nice to have an option to block specific ports (such as SMTP) by default and then whitelist individual users for said ports in the admin panel.

In all of these cases, you typically use the user panel or management interface provided by the respective platform to configure firewall rules, security groups, or network security settings for your VMs. The exact steps and options will vary depending on the platform and the level of control and customization it offers.

It's essential to refer to the documentation or user guides specific to the platform you are using to get detailed instructions on how to configure firewall settings for your VMs. Additionally, it's important to follow best practices for securing your VMs and the network they are a part of to ensure proper security.

Any hope to get this feature before years end?

We are running Proxmox as hypervisors, and firewall for clients are needed before we can put this into production.

Dear Virtualizor team,
We currently have more 20 active licenses and our demand for 2024 is more than 50 active licenses.
We are carrying out tests on Proxmox to stop using Virtualizor due to the firewall function, which is extremely important for our customers.

We ask that you speed up this feature so we don't have to migrate to Proxmox, we would like to continue using Virtualizor.

We need the resource in the first quarter of 2024

I support adding this feature. It would also be beneficial to include an option to block specific ports, like SMTP, by default, and then allow administrators to whitelist individual users for those ports through the admin panel.

:-(   Firewall option is for Cloud users only. Can it be provided for normal users too so they can manage it themselves.

Posted By: gamihostingsupport on July 4, 2024, 8:12 am | Post: 24
I mean can option be available in WHMCS module. like directly in VM setting tab instead of in  Virtualizor client panel. I want people to use WHMCS to see and manage the VM without having access to Virtualizor panel.

Hi,

WHMCS module would be updated soon and also firewall option will be available for all users.

It would be interesting to control the firewall per VPS, not per plan. Will this option be available soon? Same as proxmox for example

Posted By: jevingala on July 5, 2024, 5:06 am | Post: 27
Hi,

Yes, you can apply Firewall plan per user, per plan and per VPS as well.
