Ampps 2.8 is having issues and not just with with Mac OS Yosemite. I am running both OSX 10.7.5 and 10.8.5.

I deleted v2.8 then downloaded and installed v2.7 and I'm back to normal and working.

Ampps 2.7 download link: http://files.ampps.com/AMPPS-2.7.dmghttp://files.ampps.com/AMPPS-2.7.dmg

I opened a ticket with Ampps and they are aware of the issues.

Thank you so much. v2.7 worked.

Hope v2.8 will be fixed soon.

Same issue here with 2.8 and Yosemite.

Can I ask you which way do you use to upgrade between ampps versions?

For example I have to upgrade from 2.5 to 2.8, I usually make a backup of websites, db and config files.
Then I copy them over the new installation and it usually works but I am not pretty sure it is the correct way.

It would be good if AMPPS itself would be able to upgrade to the new version when available. Or it would be good if an update upgrade procedure description would be available on the wiki.

I tend to choose the option merge when the box comes up to choose what you want to do. Everything seems to crossover.

However I would not want an automatic update of ammps just for the very reason we are having at the moment. Version 2.8 was working ok then Yosemite 10.10.1 came along and everything crashed. First I couldn't open mySql or connect to it and then eventually like the first writer in the forum I got the massive message of discontentment after I tried to reload 2.8.

I have now reverted to 2.7 which works in Yosemite 10.10.1 although i notice 10.10.2 came out yesterday. I am not uploading anything else until 2.8 is fixed. I have already warned my son about updating any Mac software. Invariably none of the software on your computer works. This is particularly true of music software like Pro-tools and Cubase. sometimes it is better to leave well alone. This shouldn't have to be the case

I believe it's a reference to www.qt.io  which may have been used in developing AMPPS and should have been cleaned prior to compiling the binary.  Here's the relevant info from the error log:

Dyld Error Message:
  Library not loaded: /usr/local/Qt-4.8.4/lib/QtGui.framework/Versions/4/QtGui
  Referenced from: /Applications/AMPPS/Ampps.app/Contents/MacOS/Ampps
  Reason: image not found

Also - Qt 4.8.4 is a really old version no longer available from  www.qt.io, otherwise I would have just installed it.  I don't think that fixes the issue either, though, because I think Qt may create an image of resources only used during compilation or something like that. Somehow the dependancy remains in the released version 2.8 of AMPPS.

I wonder how it made it to release without actually having at least one, test launch on Yosemite.  The problem would have probably been a simple fix in a couple of seconds.

Please update, or release source so someone can help you clean that faulty reference.

Thanks for otherwise great software!

See this link:  http://qt-project.org/forums/viewthread/25816

Someone just compiled a binary without testing it!

2.9 works fine. Thanks.

It would have been better, if you had included Apache 2.4.12 instead of 2.4.10.
