Hello,

I installed WordPress via Softaculous (it works very well, thanks).

This automatic installation has installed a database server (MariaDb) and created a database, which I can access via PhpMyadmin. It works very well too.

Now I want to create a new database, for another application.

My problem is that when I connect to the database server via Cpanel and then PhpMyAdmin, the user account is not allowed to create a new database. In other words, this account does not have the same rights as a "root" account for the database server.

My question is: how can I find out the name and password of the account that has administrative rights to the database server that Softaculous has installed?

(I specify that I did not use tools like Webuzo, for which answers to the same problem have already been given on this forum).

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

The database is not installed by Softaculous. It is managed by cPanel. Softaculous just creates the database for your WordPress installation via cPanel API.

In order to create a new database you can go to cPanel -> MySQL Database Wizard

Webuzo - Multi User Hosting Control Panel
AMPPS - Best WordPress/PHP/MySQL development tool
