Topic : No warning when database backup fails

Hello,

I've just noticed that when doing a script upgrade and selecting the option to make a backup, Softaculous doesn't warn you if the database details that are saved in Softaculous are incorrect. It simply generates an SQL file with no data in it.

I see there's a warning when doing a manual backup and the database information is incorrect, so there should also be a warning when doing a backup before an upgrade.

Hi Stefan,

I just tested the upgrade by selecting the backup option and I changed the database details in the softaculous records and I received the error stating that it could not connect to the database.

Can you please let us know which control panel are you using and also which script are you facing the issue with ?
