 BuddyPress does not recommend WP trough Softaculous?, Why does BP not recommend WP trough Softaculous? (4 Replies, Read 726 times)

Hello,

We got some customers asking why they should not install WP with Softaculous, because BuddyPress does not recommend it.
Could you shed some light over that and maybee contact BuddyPress about that?

Hi,

We managed to get in touch with BuddyPress team and they tested WordPress installation via Softaculous and installed BuddyPress and it worked fine.

They have updated their Getting Started page and now it does not mention that you should not use auto installers :
