Topic : How to change the license on an existing VM?

Posted By: stanekfelix on October 30, 2013, 11:34 pm
I've been using the standard VMWare Webuzo and have put quite a bit of work in it over the past month. Now I purchased a brand new license and I'd like to add it to this existing installation, but I can't find where to update it. Is the a file maybe that I need to edit?

I think I understand what the "refresh license" does, but I don't think it's what I'm looking for.

Let's say I initially set up a VM NUMBER 1 with the following license key, license #1:
webuzo-11111-11111-11111-11111

That key was just a trial key and it expired anyway. Meanwhile, I purchased another license key that is not assigned to any VM, license #2:
webuzo-22222-22222-22222-22222

How can I make VM NUMBER 1 use license #2?

Steps:

1) Execute the following command from your VM to fetch the IP:
Code

Root > /usr/local/emps/bin/curl http://www.softaculous.com/ip.php

2) Update the  license #2 to hold the resulting IP from the command above
Guide: http://www.softaculous.com/docs/Change_License_IP

3) Run the CRON for the changes to take action:
Guide : http://webuzo.com/wiki/Immediate_update
