Hi,

How to find which users have enabled Softaculous auto backup.

We want to disable the Softaculous backup system completely. I have disabled the backup system. Unfortunately it is still enabled for existing installations by users who selected to make a backup. To deselect auto backup would need to do it for each account which you can only do when the backup system is not disabled. Even so, too much work to manually check all WordPress installs to see who has auto backup enabled.

How to easily make sure it is completely disabled for existing and new installs?

Regards,
Chris

Hi,

You can disable Auto Backups from Softaculous Admin panel -> Settings page, select "All" checkbox for "Disable Automated Backups for Enduser" under "Backup Settings" section.

This will disable the auto backups for existing as well as new installations.

I have done that, but some users backups are still being created? I guess I could just remove their WordPress install from Softaculous to fix the problem, but is there somewhere can just disable the automated backups only?

Hi,

Please open a support ticket with us and we will give you a CLI script which will check if auto update is enabled for any installation on the server and will also remove the cron job in cPanel as the cron job finally performs the backup :
