I have reseller accounts with multiple companies. Despite my persuasion to them to get Softaculous license rather than Fantastico, they won't listen. I love Softaculous because it has numerous scripts and promptly updating the script

I would love to suggest and have this new feature - a way for resellers to install Softaculous even if we don't have access to server, nor ssh access. I don't know how possible this is but this will surely be a hit. The price of course must be lesser to your VPS license price

I really hope this feature will be considered. I would really like to install softaculous on one of my reseller account with a very reputable company

Hi,

Softaculous will need SSH to install.
Without it we cant just possibly make it to install on the server.
Certain new files have to be copied which will be impossible without having root access.

Softaculous is based on PHP right? IS it possible to develop  a script that will auto install WHMCS? PM me if you can do this and how much. Im using cPanel

Softaculous already has WHMCS installers.

I already stated the problem, i am on a reseller account without softaculous and the host won't buy softaculous license, that is what im looking for - a script that can do one-click install of whmcs

Hi,

In this case it wont be possible to install Softaculous.
You will have to convince your Admin to install Softaculous.

Very hard. its a multi national company and i cant even get in touch with management but only support assistants.

That is why i was asking if its possible to write a script that will install whmcs. This script can be run by admin with username and password and when the admin logs in, he can install whmcs to any directory just like how softaculouos is doing it

We analysed all possibilities.
But it will not be possible to have it done
e.g. a reseller wont have permissions to add a Icon to the cpanel interface. (this is just one example)

like this there are many restrictions

I dont need a cpanel icon. I can do with a script outside of cpanel. All i need is the automation of importing the whmcs files, putting the license, creating the database automatically and put the folder where it will be installed.

Why not work out how much you are paying for all your reseller accounts and work out if you could afford a VPS for that price, then you could install softaculous on the VPS

Your host won't buy a Softaculous licence? I'm saving $$ as I will be unloading Fantastico from each of my servers and installing Softaculous...;)

Our resellers have access to Softaculous...
