bind permission denied to access sync.zones

bind permission denied to access sync.zones, named won't start until you delete sync.zones include in named.conf (0 Replies, Read 9957 times)

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 1 Status:	I'm brand new to Webuzo and I've tried to search for answers on this and can't find an answer anywhere. Brand new server, anytime I press clean DNS, Webuzo puts an include for a /var/named/sync.zones in named.conf and creates that file with nothing in it. When Bind/Named restarts, it can't start because it has "no permission" to access sync.zones file. I've checked permissions and sync.zones has the user:group set to root:root. No matter what chmod you change it to, it can never access it, so it stops and remains unable to run until you delete the include that Webuzo added inside /etc/named.conf and delete the file. But Now... there's a ghost DNS zone for my server that I can't edit, but it eventually creates a zone file in /var/named. Any suggestions/fix for this?
