Hello,
I would like to submit a product suggestion regarding the future development of the Softaculous / Webuzo ecosystem.
Have you ever considered developing a complete billing and automation platform, similar to WHMCS, but designed and developed directly by Softaculous?
The idea would not necessarily be to create a simple WHMCS clone, but rather a modern and complete platform that would allow hosting providers to manage everything from a single interface:
Customers and customer accounts
Web hosting packages
Automatic Webuzo account provisioning
Service suspension and reactivation
Renewals
Invoices and payments
Domain registration and renewals
Coupons and promotions
Automated emails
Support and ticketing
Revenue and service statistics
Multiple servers
A complete API
Payment gateways
A modular extension/plugin system
One of the biggest advantages would be native integration with Webuzo.
For example, when a customer orders and pays for a hosting package through the hosting provider's website, the Webuzo account could automatically be created with the appropriate package, limits and configuration.
It would also be very interesting to have a WordPress integration, allowing hosting providers who use WordPress for their website to offer hosting packages, customer accounts, billing and service management directly from their WordPress installation, without having to rely on a separate solution such as WHMCS.
The platform could also be designed from the beginning with an API-based architecture, making it possible to integrate other hosting control panels and external services.
I believe such a product could have significant potential, especially because Softaculous already has extensive experience in the web hosting ecosystem and already owns Webuzo, which could be deeply integrated into such a platform.
WHMCS has also become relatively expensive for some hosting providers. A modern, more affordable and tightly integrated solution developed directly by Softaculous could therefore be a very attractive alternative.
I would therefore like to know whether such a project has ever been considered internally, or whether it could potentially be considered for your future roadmap.
