Topic : Backup to Dropbox Premium

Hi community

I recently decided to use the Dropbox backup target when creating a backup for one of my Softaculous installations. So I connected my Dropbox account on Softaculous and all worked fine. Backups are created, sent to Dropbox and I am happy.
BUT, my Dropbox Started to become too small for my backups and I upgraded to a paid version of Dropbox. Since them, all backups ends into an error :

Incorrect backup file size : 0

I contacted my host (Siteground) and Dropbox. They both recommanded me to remove Dropbox and associate it again. I did that operation many times (deleted files and associated again)... But no success. Siteground.com tried to associate a new free Dropbox account and all worked fine. So apparently the issue is when we associate a paid account.
I contacted Dropbox and they were very helpful but they can't understand the cause. Have anyone experienced the same issue? Dropbox asked me to request Softaculous to contact their API team.
Anyone can help here?

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in response.

We will test the Dropbox backup with Premium Dropbox account and check what is the issue.

Thank you for reporting the issue.

Hi,

We regret the delay caused.

We were able to replicate the issue. We noticed that the backup was created on Dropbox Premium version but only the API that we were using to detect that backup after its creation was failing to detect the same.

We contacted the Dropbox team regarding the same and they said that the results of the API that we were using are subject to delay. Hence, they suggested some other APIs instead.

We made use of the alternate API and it should work fine now.

I have emailed you the patch with my email id 'priya@softaculous.com' with the instructions to apply it on your server.

Please test the same and let us know if your issue is resolved. If the patch resolves your issue, we'll include the same in next Softaculous version.

Do let us know.
