Issues with scripts with API accessing outside resources/data/JSON etc., Concrete5 5.6.x Development of packages, issues with TinyMCE among others. (2 Replies, Read 2696 times)
I'm running Concrete5 (5.6.x) CMS to develop packages for it. Everything was going pretty great until I hit some issues with almost anything that's tapping into an API type connection. For example, a simple Twitter feed, it works on my live server but not locally. Concrete5 also uses TinyMCE for their WYSIWYG editor and that doesn't work for me either. I can only assume that something is not allowing a connection to whatever API resources these things are calling on because I'm working locally? I'm not even sure this is a AMPPS issue purely. I've looked at the error logs though and I'm not seeing anything that suggests a failing connection.
I literally installed AMPPS and installed Concrete5 and got to work. I've left all the settings vanilla. I bumped into an article on the Wiki (How To Use Scripts on Local Network) and thought it would apply to my scenario but I'm getting hosts file issue, I have to modify it manually and before I go chasing that around I'm not even sure it would help my scenario. Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing?
