Topic : Can't Publish Posts

Posted By: BZL_MA on October 30, 2021, 8:52 pm
Posts seem to work fine in draft mode. Publishing makes them disappear. Published posts can still be seen in the All Posts list. But trying to edit them returns the following message in the main section: "The page you requested was not found we suggest you to go back to HomePage." After publishing a posts, settings stop changing the content of the post.

If I leave the post and go back to the post editor, post Settings are no longer accessible. The underline shows Settings as chosen, but the widget options show below.

Similarly, the frontend of the website can navigate to post categories, and the posts are listed in the categories list. But clicking on a post returns  "The page you requested was not found we suggest you to go back to HomePage."

I think that the best thing you can do is post a ticket here

Have you tried duplicating an existing post that shows up and editing that?

Thanks. I don't think I tried that. What eventually got it working was going into the general settings, and reverting to the URL format where Sitepad auto-assigns a number for each category and post, instead of text-based URLs. It was the top option in the list of options about how URLs are formed.

Interestingly, in settings, changed it to not show authors and not show dates had no effect. Also, in posts editing, in the editing view, sometimes changing the page title setting replaces Title in the main area, sometimes it does not. Regardless, for the public page, the page title settings value always appears at the top of the page, so good enough. I wonder if these bugs are some pattern of an installation problem.

Can you shed any light on this problem?
