Topic : A few questions before we buy SitePad License

Posted By: Cirrus on November 9, 2017, 10:49 am
Hi we are currenlty evaluating several Sitebuilders (sitepad, site.pro etc) to run with a couple of our Plesk servers. We currenlty use Web Presence builder. Could you answer a few questions we have about your product ?

1) When using the software the system makes use of your own servers. Does this mean all content is kept on your servers ? How is this backed up and protected ?

2) Our current Web Builder package has a "snapshot" versioning option which is very imporant. We cant identify any method ot undo / recover to an ealry version in case of client error etc.

3) We deploy standard content (and desgins) to various different domains, we notice you can clone within a Plesk Subscritopion however how can we clone to a seperate URL (this is very impirant for us).

4) We use very simple password protected areas (a generic login) on most of our sites but cannot fidn the ability to do this on your system ?

So far we are finding your system very good, moduel election is excellent.

Hi,

1) The process for SitePad is that your user will access SitePad from their Plesk account and they will be redirected to our editor server to create the website. Once the website is created the user will "Publish" the website and the files will be transferred back to their Plesk account via FTPS/FTP. So the final website is hosted on your servers and is independent of our servers.

2) We are working on Revisions in SitePad and will be adding it soon.

3) Unfortunately, we do not have the option to clone a website to another account/server. The website can be cloned within that same account.

4) We are working on this and will be adding an option for password protected pages as well.

We are definitely working to make SitePad better and the options you have asked for are already in making and should be added soon.

Hi,

We have added Password Protection option for pages. It can be found inside the Editor in More Menu near the close button.

Do let us know if you need any other information.
