Topic : VPS getting suspend automatically

Posted By: roadbl0ck on June 10, 2020, 10:29 am
Hi

One of my VPS is getting suspend every day at same time.
Resource is available enough. It is not suspending network.

Every time I have to unsuspend it manually.

Can you please tell me what wrong?

Other VPS are working fine. Only one VPS has a issue.

If your vps is openVZ, you may check the "suspend vps on high load" option under master configuration.
If this happens always the same time, it may be some backup or other high load operations causing the high load which leads to suspending.

Its is KVM.

How can I check it is suspending because of high load?
how and why same time everyday?

"Suspend VPS on High Load"  is already set to 0

ok, this settings has no relevance to kvm, only for openvz.
Unfortunately I have no idea what could cause this behaviour with a KVM guest.

You can try if this has something to do with suspending on bandwidth overuse.
If you unsuspended the vps run
Code
/usr/local/emps/bin/php /usr/local/virtualizor/scripts/cronm.php

if the vps is suspended again, it is the bandwidth setting.

Already did, VPS  didn't suspend.
Anything else I can try?
Or anything log I can check?
I checked the admin log from the panel
it says Suspend v1002 status successful
with I unsuspend it, it says unspspend v1002 status successful

Anything else I can check

ok understand. Just to be sure, check the advanced settings of your vps:

If this is also ok, you should open a support ticket. I do run out of ideas :-)

Now, I powered off and started the VPS. maybe there was some pending task to complete it or waiting to power off and on.

I will check tomorrow and get back to you at same time.

Thanks for your response I really appreciate it.

Okay,
I didn't enable bandwidth suspend option.
I enabled now.
Do I have to power off and on the VPS? To reflect the changes

If you don´t want to get you vps suspended you should NOT enable this option.I made the screenshot only to show you which setting I mean. You should not copy the settings from the screenshot. Powering off/on should not have any effect on this setting.
