Ok, but on which way we can backup KVM vps?
|
Posted By: chirag on September 29, 2017, 8:02 am | Post: 19 |
Hi,
Sir you mean you wan to take backup manually for file base storage ? If so you can do so by turning off the vps and copy the file to the backup location. But this will cause the downtime for that VPS so we do not recommend this. Let us know for further information. ----------------------- Virtualizor - VPS Control Panel Follow us on Facebook |

Simply use LV and backups will work.
As I know the Virtualizor Team is still looking for a solution; it's not easy to backup .raw-based VPS without suspending it. If you have any solution, they'll be happy to hear from it. ----------------------- Joshua TREUDLER - High-Performance KVM NVMe Virtual Servers in 10 locations world-wide |

I'm not a Softaculous developer, but I'm pretty sure that this won't be implemented too soon. You should consider switching qcow2/raw to LVM raw, Virtualizor will be able to handle live migrations and backups without issues. It works pretty solid, even with thousand of snapshots per night. Give it a try before switching to non-updated SolusVM ----------------------- Joshua TREUDLER - High-Performance KVM NVMe Virtual Servers in 10 locations world-wide |

Proxmox KVM support backups with File Based Storage, isn't it?
|
Posted By: chirag on August 9, 2018, 7:19 am | Post: 44 |
Hi,
Sir are looking for the consistent backup and do not want the users data to be lost in case of failure.Because qemu-img, does not support internal snapshots so it will create a backing file. Proxmox is using another mehod which they have compiled and using with their latest kernel. We are working on it and will add it soon. Thank you. ----------------------- Virtualizor - VPS Control Panel Follow us on Facebook |

Hi,
Yes, its supported in release candidate Virtualizor 3.0.0 version. You can update panel to 3.0.0 and check. You will need to set update settings to release candidate in slave settings to update panel. ----------------------- Regards, Virtualizor Team. http://virtualizor.com/ |

Hi,
Sir the free space required depends on the vm size. Because if the VM is made of 1 TB and it is using the actual space then it will require more space for backup as well. Let us know for further information. ----------------------- Virtualizor - VPS Control Panel Follow us on Facebook |
