Hi,
I've added Ampps to my MainMenu with these 4 Steps:
Download
AMPPS Icon
(from the ampps.com page) and place it in '/usr/local/ampps/ampps.png'
wget
http://www.softaculous.com/website/images/ampps/ampps.png
sudo mv ampps.png /usr/local/ampps/ampps.png
Download the AMPPS.desktop from Attachments and place it in '/usr/share/applications/AMPPS.desktop'
cd ~/Downloads (or where you downloaded the AMPPS.desktop file)
sudo mv AMPPS.desktop /usr/share/applications/AMPPS.desktop
Modify '/etc/sudoers'
open '/etc/sudoers' with your favorite editor (example 'sudo nano /etc/sudoers')
add in the last line
(REPLACE %USERNAME% with your username)
:
Code
%USERNAME% ALL=NOPASSWD: /usr/local/ampps/Ampps
Have fun with your Menu Entry
Tested with Ubuntu Gnome but it should work with many other Distros.
