yea your documentation is pretty vague.
i created custom package, just to test.
i included the zip file, i modified install.xml to only copy the zip file
it does not do anything it just throws an error installation not found
am i confusing it or does it actually extract the archive
if it extracts the archive and the link i provided is good installation/index.php
why does it throw an error?

Hi,

Is the name of the zip package the same as the Softaculous name you entered while adding the script to Softaculous ?
For eg : if you have entered "custjoom" as the Softaculous name then the package should be custjoom.zip and the SQL file should be custjoom.sql

thanks for the quick reply,

im not wanting it to populate anything just to copy
using <softcopy
according to documentation:

<softcopy xmlns="http://www.softaculous.com">
  <setuplocation>install.php</setuplocation>
  <files>
      <exclude>uni.php</exclude>
      <exclude>unid.php</exclude>
      <include>avatars/*</include>
  </files>
</softcopy>

thats their example
i used

<softcopy xmlns="http://www.softaculous.com">
  <setuplocation>installation/index.php</setuplocation>
</softcopy>

when i added the script it asked for the name, i gave it the zip name cerulean.zip

Hi,

The issue was due to the folder name of package being different than the Softaculous name for the package.
