Topic : Wordpress installer should permit underscores in DB name

When installing Wordpress via the installer, it complains that only alphanumeric characters may be used for the database name. It won't let you continue with an underscore in the DB name.

It should allow underscores since my_database is a perfectly common and acceptable mysql db naming convention.

Hi, softacuous team, please do note that when we use wordpress standard package to perform a install, if you go to the advanced setting and see, there is no hyphen in the db name.

However in a custom wordpress install, an hyphen is inserted in the db name, this behavior of the softaculous installer needs to be changed.

any idea, how can we do the same?

Thanks, Best Regards,
Santosh
