Hello all. this is my first post. I have AMPPS 2.5 on Windows 8.1. I have two questions:

1. What is the difference between posting here and submitting a support ticket?

2. I noticed that AMPPS is supposed to come with python and mongodb, but I don't have either one. I don't know how or why that happened. I originally got AMPPS a long time ago, I don't remember exactly when. I have the auto upgrade box checked, so if those scripts were added after my first install I should still get them, but I haven't. Before I try deleting and installing the newest version, does anyone have any ideas why I should be missing these scripts, in case it is something else I should address?

Thanks

Hi,

1. If you post on forums not only the team but also if someone else from the community has the solution they can help you with this. However if you want to post some sensitive data such as access to your server/machine, etc you should use a support ticket.

2. AMPPS does include Python and MongoDB stacks however at the moment we do not have Python scripts which can be auto installed by Softaculous AMPPS. You can create your own Python script to run it. Currently we have PHP, PERL, JavaScripts which can be auto installed via AMPPS.

Thanks so much! So, I don't need to delete or uninstall AMPPS, I can just add Mongodb (I already have python) to the AMPPS folder and go from there? But how do I connect mongdb to python and to the AMPPS localhost when they aren't already part of the package?
