Softaculous

Topic : You do not have sufficient space to install this software

Hi,
I'm using Softaculous via CentOS Webpanel. When I login as a normal user to panel and try to install any software from Softaculous I get an error message saying "You do not have sufficient space to install this software!"

The overview of a software is showing
Space Required
Available Space : 0.00 MB
Required Space : 25.26 MB

There is plenty of disk space on my server and user's total available disk space is 1GB. Somehow the Softaculous is not able to get the right amount of available disk space. I can reproduce this on two different servers. Both run CWP 0.9.8.572 with Softaculous 4.9.8.

Hi,

There was a bug in Quota installed by CWP. Can you please try to re-install Quota and check if you still face the issue ?

Hi,
the Quota was not setup so I installed it from CWP ran updates and rebooted the server. Still no luck with installing software from softaculous.

Any ideas what to do next?

Hi,

We made some changes in Softaculous recently to handle this case.

Please download the attached file and rename it to :
softpanel_cwpv1.php and then upload it on your server at :

Code
/usr/local/softaculous/enduser/softpanel_cwpv1.php

This fix will be included in Softaculous 4.9.9 that will be released within a week.

Do let us know if you still face the issue.

Hi,

We had to launch Softaculous 4.9.9 due to some urgent changes hence the planned features and fixes for 4.9.9 were not included in it. We will be releasing Softaculous 5.0.0 by tomorrow which will include all the features and fixes initially planned for 4.9.9

However you can use the patch I attached earlier in this thread and it should work until we release 5.0.0

Hi,

We are using Cloudlinux 7 with cPanel. When I login as a normal user to panel and try to install any software from Softaculous I get an error message saying "You do not have sufficient space to install this software!"

Space Required

The account disk usage is 368MB of 9,77GB

The installed Cpanel version 68.0.37 and the Softaculous version 5.0.0
