 WHMCS Auto Install (7 Replies, Read 657 times)

The WHMCS Auto Install was working fine, but for some reason stopped working recently. I've gone back and reviewed all the setup instructions and everything still looks fine...

We've got the correct encoded version for our PHP, and both Softaculous and WHMCS are using the latest version(s).

I also tried to enable debugging (softaculous_debug.php) both in WHMCS and in a file and neither log anything. There's nothing in the Softaculous error log on the server either. Hard to troubleshoot an encoded script...

Any ideas where to start?

Hi,

After uploading the softaculous_debug.php please try to create an order again and then check the logs here :
WHMCS admin panel -> Utilities -> Logs -> Activity Logs

Have you made any changes in your Firewall recently ? Please check if your hosting server port 2083 is accessible from your WHMCS server.

Even after uploading the softaculous_debug.php file into the /includes/hooks/ directory, nothing is displayed in the WHMCS > Utilities > Logs > Activityly logs regarding Softaculous.
We only see actions from WHMCS specifically and not Softaculous (https://wwww.domain.com/admin/systemactivitylog.php)

I've also tried to specify the full path to a blank error.log file in the softaculous_debug.php and that didn't log any errors either.

I don't know when this stopped working, but it has always worked. Not sure if it's a WHMCS or Softaculous update that caused it to stop working. I also tried the order again with both firewalls disabled (whmcs server and server running softaculous).

Hi,

If there is nothing related to Softaculous in the logs it seems the Softaculous hook is not initiated.

Did you upgrade PHP version recently ?

No, we are still running PHP v5.6.33.
I made sure we had the correctly encoded version for our PHP installation.

Doesn't make any sense...

We tested it on our test WHMCS installations and it worked fine hence we will need access to your server to debug this.

here we get the following error from whmcs when we turn on hook debug. Do you plan to upgrade your script for PHP 7.x and ioncube 10? Thanks

Please download and update the appropriate file on your server.
