I am a beginner level user of linux. I installed 3.8 ampps on linuxmint 18.3. I was able to easily install joomla from softaculous script options for joomla. I now want to use quickstart files rather than default install. That is where I am running into problems. I have phpmyadmin at 4.7.8 & php 7.0.22 running. I added the quickstart manually to the www database files I created with phpmyadmin. When I use the installer i get an error stating the setup cant connect to mysql server. I am not sure what is wrong. Is it just an issue with permissions for those files?
