Hi,

I want to know that is it possible to migrate Virtualizor KVM VPS in live without any downtime. I know that virtualitor shut down the vps when starting the migration process. Another question here is, If I turn on the vps after starting the migration what  issue can occur? Won't it work after migration if I turn on it after starting the migration? Please let me know. Thanks.

If you turn on the vps during a migration, the migration will fail.

For a live migration you would need shared storage like nfs. KVM would be able to do this as then it is only a question of transferring the config file from one host to another, but Virtualizor currently does not support it.
That could be a good suggestion I believe.

hi so GFS is not a possible scénario with virtualizor?  we where in the process of deploying Virtualizor and where under impression HA cluster was allowing the GFS2 Shared storage on multiple host.

Hi,

Live migration is supported in 3.0.6 version (yet to be stable.)
You can try using GFS with Virtualizor.
Assuming its available across servers under /etc/libvirt and vps storage path, you can use it for HA.

Are you trying this on a test setup ?

hi yes i have created a lab with Shared SAS storage HPE array. so my next step is to upgrade to beta 3.0.6, can you point me the procedure to upgrade from 3.0.5 to 3.0.6

my GFS storage is actually mounted in Virtualizor as : filepatch under /ClusterFS

is this correct ?

Hi,

HA can be used on 3.0.5 as well.

>> Yes, that should work for HA and also /etc/libvirt should be shared as per the guide.

Live migration (Admin panel->migrate vps option) would work without shared storage as well but it is only available on 3.0.6

3.0.6 is in release candidate and to update it, you can set update settings in slave settings for all servers to release candidate and then update panel.
