Topic : about kvm migration

hello,
I'm using nfs storage, will I have any problem with kvm migration feature?
I thought that feature will copy the vm image from source server to target server, but actually they share the nfs storage, will it cause any problem?

Hi,
Currently Virtualizor do not detect whether the storage is shared (or has an option to specify this), so new disks will get created on shared storage when the VM gets migrated to new host, and if "delete" option is selected old disks will get deleted after successful migration.

hi, thanks for your fast reply, but will the new disk name be the same as old one?

Are you able to add an option to specify the shared storage?

Thanks.

or do you have any guide for manually migration? like migrate-vm script in solusvm.
e.g. just change the vm node id in database, then re-create the config file in new node.

Hi,

Sir manual migration is not possible.
If you want you will have to import the VM in Virtualizor and then only you can migrate it to other node.
