Softaculous <![CDATA[KVM Issue]]> Mon, 27 Jan 2020 23:13:02 GMT <![CDATA[Auto Install by panel]]> Mon, 27 Jan 2020 20:53:13 GMT <![CDATA[Backup limit per user]]>
So I've just come across your release notes for version 5.3.4 of Softaculous :
3) [Feature]: Added “Maximum backups per user (Local)” setting in Softaculous admin panel to restrict the maximum number of backups a user can create on the local server. The old setting “Maximum backups per user (Local & Remote)” can be used to restrict total number of backups irrespective of the location on which backup is done.

So I suppose it answers my question to the first of my two previous posts.

I suppose you can set the settings like so to be able to do unlimited amount of remote backups :
 • Maximum backups per user (Local) : 3
 • Maximum backups per user (Local) : unlimited (or unset?)

My host is also limiting the number of backup rotation to 1 so that's why I ask.

At least I can script on the remote side to keep more backups if I want but it would be a useful option to add if it don't exist currently.]]>

But I would like to know if a limit can be set only for the remote backups that will be independent from the local ones.

What I mean if is I set, for exemple :
 • Maximum backups per user (Local & Remote) : unlimited (or 25 for exemple)
 • Maximum backups per user (Local) : 3

It means that I can only make 3 backups locally and unlimted or any number of backups remotely?

In the end, my problem is that my web host is limiting all backups to a maximum of 3 actually and I would like to ask them to remove this limitation to remote backups only (and keep the local backup limit to 3) if the new settings can permit it.

It also complains this: but I dont know yet what exactly is missing. There's no nginx on WHM, maybe that?

Maybe someone can fix that?

<![CDATA[Softaculous Update hook]]> For example, you recently released an update to Softaculous... making it Softaculous 5.3.7. Is there a way I can run a script after Softaculous is updated.
Presumably you'll eventually release Softaculous 5.3.8 ... I'd like to run a script automatically after that update. Is there a way to do this?
