Topic : Import (or reinstall) a WP site from TimeMachine Files

Hi,

Had to reinstall OS, now am trying to reimport a site from TimeMachine Files
(just one site, not all of them)

I've tried installing a new install in Ampps with the same DB name as the old site, then copying across the files. Didn't work
And also tried with old tableprefix. Didn't work

Then I've tried copying across all the files from (timemachine) Ampps/www > (newinstall) Ampps/www

no luck. keep getting errors

Can anyone please help or point to some step by step instructions to import a site (from files)

I guess I'm not doing something with the database or something like that (but not very knowledgeable when it comes to databases)

Any ideas??

Hi,

It looks like you copied the www/ folder but you did not copy the mysql data folder. The AMPPS/mysql/data folder has the database of your installation which is required for your site to work.

Do let us know if you still face the issue.
