Outdated records for Softaculous, How to update them trough cron/cli? (5 Replies, Read 3719 times)

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 44 Status:	Hello, We get contacted by customers from time to time and they are telling us that Softaculous are showing wrong version of WP, Joomla etc. Customer have updated WP manually inside WP, then Softaculous don't get this version. So I see it's possible to do trough WHM: https://www.softaculous.com/docs/admin/show-real-version/ But that is too time consuming. How can this be done trough cli/cron?

Group: Softaculous Team Post Group: Super Member Posts: 5652 Status:	Hi, I have studied this case in detail and here is what we found. We do have a check which determines the real version and automatically updates Softaculous records. However this is done in the Softaculous CRON and is triggered when the script's update package is downloaded from Softaculous servers i.e. only once when a new version is downloaded. If any user has updated their installation manually before the new version is downloaded their records will be updated. But if the user updates their installation manually after the script package is downloaded from Softaculous servers (which is the case most of the times). We will make changes to run this script more frequently or make a separate CLI utility which can be executed manually or via CRON.
